About Whipstock Guest Farm

Come and visit Whipstock Guest Farm and turn back time to a more relaxed pace of life away from the hustle and bustle. Located in the rain shadow of the Sonderend Mountains, on the banks of the Koningsriver, we have kept a small part of rural South Africa remarkably untouched by progress.

We offer three self-catering cottages and three bed and breakfast, each with an atmosphere and charm of its own. The cottages are equipped with fridges and coffee and tea-making facilities and fireplaces. The accommodation reflects its natural surroundings of beautiful countryside living. The commons room offers a small bar area (we are not licensed so bring your own) with large fire place, dining room and a television with full DSTV. A variety of board games are also available and a library is available for readers to browse.

Whipstock Guest Farm is a prefect getaway for adults with children, as the farm offers a myriad of activities to keep everyone busy. There is a wonderful farm dam with clean mountain water for swimming and canoeing; perfect for those hotter summer days.

Accommodation Options

Rietvlei
Sleeps six guests with a double bed and four single beds in the loft. Features include a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a bath-shower combination. This is a self-catering unit.
Winterfield
The main bedroom has a double bed and, its own fireplace and the second bedroom has two single beds. Features include a small entrance hall, fully equipped kitchenette and large shower. This is a self-catering unit.
The Barn
2 Sleeper Self Catering Honeymoon Cottage (Bedroom, Lounge with Fireplace, Full Bathroom)
Longlands Unit 1
Unit 1 features a small lounge with a fireplace and a double bed, a separate alcove with a bunk bed for the kids.
Longlands Unit 2
Unit 2 is the smallest unit with a double bed. The bathroom contains a large shower that easily fits two. The unit also has a wall panel.
Longlands Unit 3
Unit 3 features a small lounge a double bed with a fireplace and a separate alcove with bunk beds for the kids.
