About Rivierplaas Campsite
Visit us for a peaceful weekend away with your family and friends. Rivierplaas Campsite is pet-friendly, and situated on a working farm, on the banks of the beautiful Breede River.
Only an hour and a half’s drive from Cape Town, it is a convenient and affordable getaway for anybody who owns a tent, bush-trailer, motor-home or caravan. No regrets, no electricity.
The campsite offers ample swimming, fishing and play areas, as well as a zipline (foefie slide) into the river. There are canoes, rafts and other floating devices for everyone to use, at no extra cost.
Rivierplaas is a popular destination amongst bird watchers, with around 200 different bird species commonly spotted on and around the farm.
There are a variety of award-winning wine cellars in the area, which are open for tastings.
Our circular hiking trail of 2,5km will take you on a scenic outing, and can be enjoyed by the whole family, including your dog(s).
