Penhill Farm

Nestled in the picturesque Nuy Valley between Worcester and Robertson, a scenic 90-minute drive from Cape Town, lies the elegant country retreat of Penhill Farm.

Its traditional white-washed, thatched-roofed buildings are nestled at the foot of the majestic Langeberg Mountain Range (South Africa’s longest) on 3,000 acres of private land. From here, exceptional views stretch across the Breede Valley to the Franschhoek mountains beyond.

Penhill accommodates up to 24 guests across four cottages and a Manor House. Four, two-bedroom cottages feature king-size and twin beds, perfect for families, couples or friends. Each of these four cottages feature a Swedish hot tub or jacuzzi, with Pepper Tree Cottage (the oldest building in the valley, orig. 1750), and Old Fruitbarn Cottage also featuring a splash pool and swimming pool respectively. The Cape Dutch-style Manor House, dating back to 1840, has been beautifully restored and can sleep up to eight guests, ideal for extended families or groups of friends. The Manor House also offers a large swimming pool, a great spot to cool off on those warm Karoo days.
