Africa Wildtruck Camp and Lodge

ROOM 1. A 40 m2 room in an old building in red bricks dated 1912, with a garden and a stunning Mulanje mountain view immerse in tea fields. In the main room there are two beds under a mosquito net which can be set as a queen size bed or twin beds. There is a working fireplace for wintertime and a wall fan for summer hot season; in the second small room a third bed with mosquito net leads to the private bathroom . The room is en-suite with a bathroom that includes shower, hand basin and toilet.

The apartment is completed by a kitchen with gas, fridge and cooking utensils. Mosquito nets are present in all rooms, including at windows and on all beds. A stand fan is available. The restaurant is normally reserved for camp and lodge internal guest; it is however possible to pre-book your table any time.
NOTE: Due to the position pre – book is essential. For large groups (more than 10) a week in advance in order to let the chef and kitchen be ready for you.

Italian cuisine and Malawian cuisine
Among products: bread, pizza leavened with mother yeast, bread sticks, crostata pies, fresh filled pasta, pasta trafilata al bronzo. Fresh fruit juices, jams and honey from internal production.
Most of recipes are family tradition from owners grandparents who owned a bakery in Italy.
Malawi local food is also available for a nice taste exploration.

Fixed menu: why
The cuisine enhances fresh products from the garden or products from local companies. Dinner usually consists of three courses that vary every day, paired with South African or Italian wines visible on the menu. Staff serves each course at the table and presents it to our guests.
In addition to the difficulties of supplies, food waste is avoided through the proposals of fixed menus.
For this reason it is important to comunicate diets (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free…) well in advance when booking.
