Relais de l’Ankarana

Le Relais de l’Ankarana is a small hotel situated in the village of Mahamasina, a two minute drive from the east entrance to the Ankarana National Park. This natural park is 18,220 pristine hectares large with beautiful flora and fauna including ten species of lemur, ninety-two species of bird, chameleons, baobabs and Pachypodium. Experienced French and English speaking guides will lead you around the park, showing you amazing rivers, canyons, tropical forests, caves and of course the biggest feature of the park – the amazing Tsingy rock formations.

The hotel itself has six rooms, comprising a lounge, an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, running water and mosquito netting. The hotel is solar powered, and all of the rooms have electricity between the hours of 18h00 and 22h00 enabling you to charge your cameras, mobile phones and whatever else you need to. There is a small restaurant offering a fusion of Malagasy and European cuisine. Traditional Malagasy dishes are also available and vegetarian dishes are available on request.
