Le Relais du Naturaliste

Le Relais du Naturaliste, also known as Vohimana Ecolodge, is a rustic and eco-friendly retreat nestled on the edge of the Vohimana Forest in Madagascar, just a 45-minute walk from the village of Ambavaniasy and near the renowned Andasibe National Park. The journey to the lodge is part of the experience, passing local homes, crossing two small rivers, and following a railway line through lush landscapes. The lodge offers simple yet charming accommodations in traditional huts made from local materials, including two dormitories and three bungalows, all equipped with mosquito nets and warm blankets. While it doesn’t offer hotel-style luxury, visitors are welcomed with warmth and authenticity, making it an ideal refuge for nature lovers. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views, immerse themselves in the surrounding biodiversity, and experience the unique culture and tranquility of Madagascar’s eastern forests.
