About Elewana Elsa’s Kopje Meru
Elewana Elsa’s Kopje remains one of the most elegant lodges in Africa, in one of the most spectacular settings. Every cottage has a spectacular view and is uniquely designed and crafted, incorporating the natural features of the rocky hillside.
Elewana Elsa's Kopje offers ensuite cottages, honeymoon cottages, a family cottage and a private house. Rooms feature standard amenities and come with spacious double or twin beds with elegantly appointed bathrooms.
Facilities include an open bar, lounge and dining room with an exceptionally inviting infinity pool overlooking the Meru plains. Elewana Elsa’s Kopje is renowned for its delicious cuisine. Guests can eat at their own individual tables and dinner is almost always outside, with candlelit tables laid out under the stars. Private romantic dinners can also be arranged.
A wild and semi-arid landscape, dotted with doum palms and traversed by weaving green lines of the 13 life-giving rivers, Meru National Park offers wonderful game watching opportunities, and is one of the best locations to view rhino in their natural habitat.

Safari Cottage
Nestled into the hillside and overlooking the vast plains of Meru National Park, each of Elsa’s Kopje’s five open-fronted cottages are uniquely designed incorporating the features of the kopje, and enjoying a magnificent view.
Each cottage consists of a main bedroom, ensuite bathroom and sitting area/private deck.
Safari Suites
Africa is undeniably romantic, and three Safari Suites at Elsa's Kopje offer the ultimate in romance and seclusion.
Two of the Safari suites feature a main double bedroom, ensuite bathroom, a small private deck and gorgeous outdoor bath.
The third safari suite is a large three-leveled luxury suite, with main double bedroom, bathroom, open sitting room and a private deck.
Private House
Elsa's Private House is an exclusive accommodation set slightly apart from the rest of the lodge. It is an exclusive retreat for families, with its own garden, infinity pool, sitting room and dining area.
The Private House has a double ensuite master bedroom with bath and an outdoor shower, and a twin ensuite bedroom with shower. Private House can fit two extra beds, for children under 16yrs.
Family Suite
The family suite consists of an ensuite double bedroom, ensuite twin bedroom, joined by a sitting room and large private decking. The family suite also offers an outdoor bath.
