Basecamp Adventure is an intimate tented camp of just 6 tents, nestled on a beautiful, forested bend of the Talek River, next to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Shaded by trees with sweeping views out over the plains, the camp embodies the essence of simplicity under canvas offering an abundance of private open space for intrepid explorer yearning for a true atmosphere of adventure.
Designed for minimal impact on the environment and in keeping with our sustainability ethos, Basecamp Adventure blends seamlessly into its pristine natural setting. The intimate and relaxed atmosphere creates a unique safari experience in a prime wildlife area whether you're unwinding in the lounge, or sitting quietly in your tent watching animals come down to drink from the river.
Here, you reconnect with nature in its most essential and pure form. The camp is ideal destination for guests who want to go beyond game drive immersing themselves in local Maasai culture, learning about conservation and community projects we support, and getting involved in making a lasting difference. Double Tents
Each of Basecamp Adventure's six tents is a peaceful retreat in its own right fitted with a comfortable double bed, bio-flush toilet, and solar-heated shower, all powered by the sun and treading gently on the land. Step onto your private terrace and let the views do the rest: the river winding below, the plains stretching endlessly beyond, and the quiet rhythm of the Maasai Mara unfolding right before you.
Standard River Tents
We provide 6 Twin/Double spacious Tents with proper beds, linen, and duvet, each complete with an en-suite bathroom, flush toilet, and a shower. All Tents have unique views of the open Savannah and Talek River with a private terrace with comfortable seating.
Dining & Cuisine
Basecamp Adventure Restaurant
Participate in special activities, such as dining under the stars with a barbeque bush dinner, a beautiful river view breakfast, or lunch under the dappled shade of the giant fig trees, each complemented by a selection of drinks. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.
