About Roca River Camp
Roca River Camp is an intimate, owner-run and owner-hosted tented camp in the world-famous Maasai Mara. With just nine spacious tents, including three family tents, the camp offers an authentic, classic and romantic safari experience. Ross, Caro and their team personally host and guide guests, sharing their knowledge and passion for this extraordinary wilderness and ensuring every stay creates exceptional and lasting memories.
The camp sits on the banks of the Mara River, beneath the shade of a beautiful riverine forest. Located within the Maasai Mara National Reserve, guests have unrestricted access to the wilderness and its abundant wildlife, while the camp is also ideally positioned for exploring the Mara Triangle.
Roca River Camp combines the charm and adventure of an original safari camp with all the comforts you need. Spacious standard and family tents feature comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, and thoughtful touches throughout. Guests can enjoy delicious three-course meals, beautiful hand-crafted décor, white linen, woven carpets and handmade furniture, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
With its intimate size, personal hosting and spectacular riverside setting, Roca River Camp offers a genuine safari experience — combining comfort, charm and the freedom to experience the Mara at its very best.

Standard Tents
Our Luxury Tents are all ensuite, with all of the comforts you would expect from a luxury safari. With a total of 6 tents, guests are able to experience an intimate luxury safari. We have 3 tents overlooking the stunning Mara River, and another 3 tents looking out over the majestic Mara Plains. Rooms can be set up as doubles, twin beds or triples.
Family Tent
The Family Room is a single unit made up of two en suite rooms separated by a shared living space. It is the room closest to the main camp areas, and is ideal for families with smaller children who would prefer to be closer, or for a group of close friends. We have a total of 3 family tents.
