About Basecamp Mara Houses

Tucked away in the tranquil Ol Chorro Losoit Valley between the Lemek Hills, Basecamp Mara Houses is a collection of three houses located in the 30,000-hectare Mara North Conservancy. Among them, the Mara and Acacia houses stand as spacious three-bedroom havens, while Dik Dik house provides a cozy two-bedroom retreat.

Each offering its own unique charm, these exclusive-use houses are designed for families or groups who want the privacy of their own home while on safari in Kenya.

The Houses are fully staffed, with a dedicated and hands-on team including a wildlife guide, personal chef, room steward, waiter and household manager who ensure every stay is seamless and memorable.

Inside Mara House, you’ll find an open-plan dining room and lounge with a log fire – perfect for when the temperature takes a slight dip in the evenings. The House has three en-suite bedrooms - a ground-floor bedroom with a shared bathroom, and an attic room that’s ideal for kids. The House also has a private outdoor verandah and a shared pool area with Acacia House. Though not hosted, Mara House comes with a full team, including a chef, house manager, room stewards, waiters and your own private guide.
