About The Sleeping Warrior Lodge
The Sleeping Warrior Lodge is located in Soysambu Conservancy, the central Rift Valley, near Lake Elementaita and Nakuru. The lodge is set on top of a volcanic hill overlooking the Sleeping Warrior Crater, offering stunning views over the plains into the distance.
The lodge has the best vantage point to enjoy the spectacular wildlife Nakuru has to offer, including the chance to see both black and white rhino. Set in the 48,000 acre exclusive Soysambu Conservancy to the east of Lake Elementaita.
Soysambu Conservancy features volcanic hills, rolling plains, and dense acacia woodlands. The Conservancy also includes a substantial part of Lake Elementaita, the home of over a million flamingos and their attendant cast of pelicans, cormorants, waders and storks. Within the shelter of the crater, large herds of buffalo wander and within the acacia thickets graze the rare Rothschild's giraffe. Across the plains bound an ever-shifting kaleidoscope of other game from waterbuck to zebra. Long protected from the impact of mass tourism, the Conservancy also provides sanctuary for a wide range of predators, including the shy and secretive leopard.
The Sleeping Warrior Lodge is a great location from which to enjoy this stunning area, with views that will continue to amaze. The 10 widely spaced bungalows are designed to maximize these spectacular views, and allow you to soak in the splendour of the African bush in the highest level of comfort and privacy.
