Karisia Nantodo Camp

Laikipia, Kenya

About Karisia Nantodo Camp

Karisia Nantodo Camp is located at the junction of a wide sand river and the Ewaso Nyiro River, shaded by large, umbrella-shaped acacia trees.

Behind the camp rises the immense granite pinnacle of Nantodo, a prominent landmark visible for miles across the arid plains.

The sand river here is often dry, but digging down reveals crystal clear water, naturally filtered through the sand, perfect for a refreshing shower at the end of the day.

The Ewaso River, very wide at this point, is a well-known crossing for the local Samburu people. From the camp, you can enjoy watching the traditional Samburu and their livestock come to the river to water, cross, and spend a few hours washing.
