About GoWild Africa Safaris - Disabled

Olepangi Farm is home to the family safari business called GoWild Africa which provides horse-riding, walking and driving safaris into the Lolldaiga Hills Ranch. This ranch is considered by many to be the most beautiful ranch in Kenya, with stunning scenery and abundant wildlife . . . and best of all, very few tourists due to its historic isolation. GoWild Africa is opening up this magic land to guests.

The Ranch is a 49,000 acre cattle ranch and wildlife conservancy. Located 20 km north west of Mount Kenya at an altitude of between 1,800 – 2,300m, the Ranch has outstanding and uninterrupted views of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares. The Lolldaiga range is an ancient land form, comprising of a series of magnificent high folding hills, cedar forests, open grassland and wooded valleys

Ride, walk and drive amongst herds of zebra, impala, eland, gazelles and hartebeest. Come almost within touching distance of the many reticulated giraffe and slowly approach a herd of elephant or buffalo. If you are really lucky we may even stumble upon a pride of lion or track down a leopard.

Safari’s in the Lolldaigas are either operated out of private fly camps or the Lolldaiga Farmhouse. The Lucy family have been coming to the Lolldaigas for many years and have handpicked a selection of private campsites. Depending on the time of year, weather and game movement you may find yourself camping far in the arid north of the ranch or tucked into the ridgeline in the southern sector….the sky is the limit!

Accommodation Options

Fly camps
The GoWild fly camps are a truly authentic, adventurous camping experience. Focus is on creating a comfortable and affordable bush camp, not on unnecessary luxuries. Camping is in spacious dome tents complete with stretcher beds, comfortable roll mats, cosy sleeping bags and soft pillows. Long drop loos and bucket showers are carefully positioned so that they are private and all have a view. Meals are served in a mess tent (although the teams are known to organise a surprise bush breakfast every now and again) and there is a camp fire by which guests enjoy the sounds of the bush and the starry African sky.
Lolldaigas Farmhouse
For those who are not so keen on camping, there is excellent option to use the Lolldaiga Farmhouse as a base. The Farmhouse was built as a manager’s house in the 1960s and is now open to guests. There are three en-suite double bedrooms, and one twin bedroom with a sink/toilet. It is built out of old cedar wood and has a stunning garden with views out over Mt Kenya.
