Our private Luxury mobile camps are established in special areas, handpicked over many years, where the wildlife is most prolific, the views most spectacular. As most of our fathers (if not grandfathers) toured these same areas, we can honestly claim to know these places better than anyone.

Ker & Downey Safaris has partnered with a local Maasai community to lease the Kitirua Conservancy, adjacent to the world-famous Amboseli National Park. Our lease also supports the local community through funding and the development of management plans, grazing committees and educational facilities. Having worked with the community for decades, they have become integral partners and friends. This also means that our guests get unrivaled glimpses into everyday Maasai life, all the while enjoying fantastic wildlife experiences.

The area is a vital corridor for hundreds of animals, especially big herds of elephants. Being a privately-leased area, we get to explore without the constraints normally found in a National Park.
