About Koro Island Camp
Koro Island is a stunning simple camp in the Central Tuli located on a remote tiny island in the Limpopo River which makes it a real bush experience. A suspension bridge is the only access onto the island and welcomes safari travellers into camp with sweeping views of the river.
It offers an authentic safari experience, and it is ideal for explorer-orientated travellers. Here one feels close to the old ancient landscape, the flora and fauna, and the fresh breeze of the Limpopo River.
Koro Island Camp consists of 4 en-suite Meru tents and a thatched lounge and dining area, a viewing and lounging deck overlooking the main channel of the Limpopo, and of course, the crucial open-air campfire for dinner and storytelling!
The unpretentious style and layout of the Safari camp offers a perfect invitation for small parties (max 8) of safari travelers with special interests to enjoy some down time or activities such as e-biking and mountain biking. Mountain bike lovers can explore the Tuli region by bike, photographers and birders can enjoy the rich birdlife the river frontage offers.
Koro Island Camp is the perfect combination of minimal limited electricity and the sounds of the bush.
