Welcome to Nkanga Conservation Area
Located roughly 20 kilometres north of Zambia’s bustling city of Choma, the breathtaking Nkanga River Conservation Area is a wonderland of striking landscapes, colourful birds and outdoor adventure. An important and registered birding area of the country and home to about 400 feathered species, the reserve is a top favourite among twitchers - while animal lovers can look forward to spotting tsessebe, puku and sable. Game drives, guided tours, and excellent hiking and mountain biking opportunities await. At the nearby market town of Chobo, enjoy a diversity of bars, cafes and restaurants as well as a vibrant nightlife scene, or head to Lake Kariba - Africa’s largest artificial dam - for the ‘Zambia Riviera’ experience or a day of watersports.
