Welcome to Lusenga Plain National Park
Located in the Kawambwa District of Zambia’s Luapula Province, Lusenga Plain National Park is a beautiful and relatively undiscovered area of evergreen forest, swamp and marshland. Its vast areas of miombo woodland are home to a range of animal species such as Yellow Baboon, Vervet and Gentle (Blue) Monkey, Gambian Sun Squirrel, Greater Galago, Bush Pig and Southern Reedbuck. The park is especially known for its rich diversity of bird species, including numerous Zambezian endemics. Look out for Coppery-tailed Coucal, White-cheeked Bee-eater, Banded Martin, Fulleborn's and Rosy-breasted Longclaws, among others.
