Walk for a Week through Beautiful Natural Heritage Land
What an amazing experience - The 10th Heritage Park Walk will take place in June 2012 from Madikwe Game Reserve to Pilanesberg National Park, through 105km of pristine South African bush.

The distance of this year''s walk has been reduced to 105 kilometres from the usual 135 kilometres. It should take a week.

Closing date for registration is 25 May 2012 so don''t delay. And participation is only R300 per person.

That''s a really affordable once in a lifetime experience!

According to a report on Tourism Update:

The walk was conceptualised by the North West Parks and Tourism Board in 2003, as an awareness campaign for affected communities around the establishment of the Heritage Park Project. Members from affected communities have been part of the walk every year.

The project aims to link the Pilanesberg National Park with Madikwe Game Reserve, thus creating an important conservation corridor linking the two parks, as a nature-based tourism anchor project.
