I’m no joller – I used to be, but nowadays my late nights are reserved for whacking work deadlines whilst wearing my fluffy slippers and trying not to knock my microwave dinner into my lap.
So the launch of Sky was something quite incredible indeed, because just the invitation made me drop the fluffy slippers, do my hair and pop out of the house at 6pm.

Sky is the gorgeous new venue, located near the top of TsogoSun’s Maharani Towers. It’s a reincarnation of the old Raffles, which was a Durban stalwart venue many, many years ago. It’s back but – oh my - it’s unbelievably beautiful.

Because Sky is located on the 31st floor, the views from the venue are incredible. With a beach view you couldn’t dream more breathtaking, gorgeous décor and delicious snacks all around me, I felt like Cinderella on launch night.

With a beautiful moon setting behind us, we settled down for some sweet snacks, champagne and offbeat entertainment.
Sky is a multipurpose venue, that’s perfect for a swish cocktail do, an important conference, themed evenings and celebrations. I’m already making a little list in my head to figure out how often I can return to drink in the view!
