Four months ago we embarked on a Stationary Drive to assist the 3 local schools in the communities boarding Umngazi. We set our target quite high as we immediately understood that in order for us to really assist the local schools we would need to aim high. Six hundred stationery sets seemed like such a mammoth task but this would give us enough to give two hundred to each school and only just cover the tip of the iceberg.
We are delighted to announce that we reached our target in 3 1/2 months! What excitement for everyone! We shall continue with our Stationary Drive and nurture this important need for the children in the Umngazi Valley.
We have also assisted the three local schools to join up with the My School Programme. Hence you can support the schools by linking your Woolworths card to MySchool and every time you swipe your card; 1% of your purchase will go to your nominated school. You can nominate up to three schools.
