Tuningi Safari Lodge, in the North West province’s malaria-free, Big 5 Madikwe game reserve, has harnessed the power of this combination and has put together an unbeatable package for photographers of all levels for the weekend of 5 - 7 September 2011.
The specific aim of this three day adventure, is to perfect the art of lion photography. Grant Marcus’ work goes beyond technically impeccable – it demonstrates a deep understanding of the bush and its inhabitants. Participants in this creative weekend shoot will have a rare chance to dig into his pool of knowledge, as he takes them around the bush and passes on the benefits of his experience. With a dedicated private vehicle at the group’s disposal and a professional field guide on hand, the journey will present participants with an endless stream of subjects to capture for their collection.
When photographers aren’t bush bashing they will be welcomed at the inimitable Tuningi Safari Lodge. One of the leading hospitality players in the Madikwe Game Reserve, Tuningi offers its guests 5 star luxury in quiet surrounds: privacy, solitude, standard-setting service, luxurious accommodation and fine dining are just some of the reasons to visit this lodge again and again.
The three day itinerary will take participants from group discussions at the lodge, to days on safari, capturing nature at play, landscapes, sunsets and- weather permitting - a night time star trail shoot, with Grant and the Tuningi team on hand to ensure a seamless experience.
Partners who join the safari experience and aren’t keen photographers, will be able to enjoy spa treatments at the lodge, and take part in regular lodge game viewing drives at their leisure, if it isn’t enough to sit around the pool, sip on a customized cocktail and view visiting game at Tuningi’s very own water hole.
