Throughout the town of Swellendam, berries will be celebrated with delicious berry banquets, cocktails, decor, dances and music from Friday to Sunday. The Amazing Berry Race gives teams of two a chance to explore Swellendam and show off their clue solving, as well as undergoing challenges and raising funds for four local charities. There is a social bike ride through the Marloth Nature reserve, and a dog walk through the Hermitage Valley. The Red Berry Ball on Saturday evening gives everybody a chance to ‘glam up’ and indulge in special Berry Cocktails. On Friday evening there is Late Night Christmas shopping, with carols, wine tasting, and stalls. And the weekend finishes off with the traditional Christmas Lights ceremony on December 7th.
