This alternative music festival is not for the feint hearted - or lovers of R&B...
There are music festivals, and then there’s RAMfest IV – South Africa’s premier alternative music festival, hurtling towards the Western Cape at the speed of sound this coming weekend.
Consciously and conscientiously avoiding the ''evils'' of mainstream pop and rock culture, RAMfest appeals to a very specific audience – lovers of true alternative music and all that goes with it.
Some of the bands that will be at this year’s RAMfest are well known by a wider audience – think Fokofpolisiekar, The Dirty Skirts, Taxi Violence, Jack Parow etc – the majority of acts are not household names – depending of course on your household.
There are three stages, each with a full line-up on all three days of the festival – a Main Stage, and Alternative Stage (for even MORE out there acts) and the Electro Stage for those who love to dance.
