Every wine on show tells a tale and reflects the terroir of a great wine property. Our guests return each year, enjoying the carefully chosen wines, the small show and the ability to get up close to the winemakers and discover their secrets. They chat about wine, flavours, and the complexities of wine maturation.

At the end of the show, our guests are also proud to have tasted South Africa’s finest. When Juliet Cullinan launched the first wine festival 24 years ago, she did so based on her recognition of the skills of winemakers, and wanting to introduce the face behind the bottle.
The Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival has been a wonderful marketing platform for the talented wine makers ever since. It was the first event to offer a wine show to exhibit the leading Cape winemakers for the cream of Johannesburg’s wine society.
