Greenpop Celebrates Earth Day by Throwing a Party at The Assemby
Celebrate the earth''s special day by attending this great folk music gig at popular Cape Town venue, The Assembly.

Greenpop started planting trees in the Cape Flats in September 2010 and since then has been behind the planting of over 3000 trees over the last 7 months and they decided to celebrate Earth Day with Cool as Folk on 21 April 2011 - that''s tonight! - at The Assembly, from 8pm.

Greenpop is also driving environmental education and has signed up more than 500 volunteers to come and plant, while encouraging school children to get their hands dirty, and to participate in their Grey Water initiative whereby each child brings in a 2-litre bottle of their bath water to school 3 times a week and each class has designated days to water their trees. This initiative has been embraced by over 1000 learners at some schools, that’s a lot of recycled water!

By partying for the trees tonight you''ll be helping fund more excellent work by Greenpop!
