Hi An interesting item from FTTSA, below. Cheers Liz Earth Hour! Saturday, 28 March 2009, 8:30pm local time, wherever you live on planet earth From melting glaciers to increasingly intense weather patterns, we know that climate change is already impacting life on our planet. Earth Hour is a World Wildlife Fund (WWF) global sustainability campaign about taking simple steps everyday that will collectively reduce carbon emissions – from businesses turning off their lights when their offices are empty to households turning off appliances rather than leaving them on standby. At 8:30pm on Saturday 28 March, people from all corners of the world will turn off their lights for one hour to show support for this initiative and take part in the world’s largest global climate change event. Earth Hour’s target for this year’s campaign is 1 billion participants, and the results will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009. FTTSA encourages all its fans to show support for this worldwide environmental initiative and join us in participating. For more information and to sign up, please visit Earth Hour
