Crayfish Craziness in Lamberts Bay
From 2 - 4 March 2012, Lamberts Bay will be hosting its’ 11th Annual Crayfish Festival.

Over the years this festival has become known for its’ good ‘old fashioned’ West Coast hospitality, showcasing some of this country’s best known artists, 80 odd fabulous stalls offering clothing, jewellery, food, gifts and crayfish, lots and lots of crayfish!

Crayfish is the star of the show and during the festival it is available in abundance, at ridiculously low prices, making it available for everyone to enjoy!

Crayfish will be sold from the Muisbosskerm Graca Crayfish and Wine Stall.

(Muisbosskerm is the country’s original open air restaurant situated in Lamberts Bay!)

The stall will also serve other seafood delights like Muisbosskerm Paella, Hake and Buffalo Chips and Oysters.

CRAYFISH ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THE RED TIDE AND ARE COMPLETELY SAFE TO EAT.

If you fancy something a little different the other food stalls offer just about every dish imaginable, and for the thirsty over 18’s the Festival Bar will be open throughout the course of the event.

Activities on the grounds include a Rodeo Bull, Quad Bike Riding and Water Balls.

The Kiddies Corner caters for the little ones’ and entertainment includes face painting, puppet shows, a jumping castle, colouring in competitions, balloon folding, treasure hunts and tons of arts and crafts.

They will be hosting a Miss/Mr Kreeffees, Miss/Mr Kreeffees Junior & a Kreeffees Krappie Competition. Entry forms and further details are available on their website.

Some of the artists performing will be VALIANT SWART, GEORGE LONGANE, SAARKIE, KAAPSE AFFODILLE, KAREN FERREIRA, NICHOLIS LOUW and many more artists on the Main Stage. Zain Johnson will once again be MC for the weekend!

On Sunday morning there will be an Inter Denominational Church Thanksgiving Service followed by a Classical Sunday showcasing artists Danie Niehaus, Sterling EQ and Gugulethu Tenors.
