Castle Lager is proud to introduce the Castle Superfans , 16 passionate fans representative of all Premier Soccer League clubs in the country, who stand united as one cohesive group as Castle ambassadors.
Their role is to engage South Africans and instil a sense of national pride behind our national team ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Castle Lager conducted a an intensive selection process to identify the perfect Castle Superfan candidates. Castle Lager engaged the 16 Premier Soccer League (PSL) clubs to supply their most passionate fans where one representative was chosen via a selection process.
“We are proud to have a group of avid soccer ambassadors united and singing with one voice. The Castle Superfans are a true reflection of South Africa’s love for football. As premier sponsors of Bafana Bafana, Test Cricket and beer suppliers to The Spingboks, Castle Lager is proud to be part of this culture because it is truly passionate about soccer and South African sport,” says Errol Madlala, Sponsorship Manager for Castle Lager.
For their love and commitment of the game and years of rallying support and energy at soccer stadiums across the country, the Castle Lager Superfans were rewarded with a trip to Cologne, when Bafanfa Bafna took on the German senior team, which boasts superstars such as Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack and Bayen Munich star duo Miroslav Klose and Philipp Lahm. They also star in the current Castle Lager television commercial.

In the build up to 2010, the Castle Superfans will conduct a national tour to rally South Africans and soccer enthusiasts to get behind Bafana Bafana and prepare themselves for this spectacular event proving once again that it all comes together with a Castle.
“We recently launched the Castle Lager Superfan limited edition 440ml cans to ensure that our consumers have Castle Superfans in their homes. Castle Lager has also ensured that the Castle Superfans continue their supporter obligations at their respective clubs, whilst rallying behind Bafana Bafana,” says Madlala.
