Today, Tripadvisor has put out a list of 10 warm weather escapes especially aimed at those in the grips of a Northern Hemisphere winter and looking to up their Vitamin D levels somewhere wonderful.
Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Kata Beach (Thailand), Playa del Carmen (Mexico), St John''s (Antigua) and Tama Rindo (Costa Rica) Cape Town was selected no doubt for her world renowned gleaming white beaches, aquamarine waters and fun loving outdoor lifestyle.
Among the attractions listed were Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, Township Tours, Clifton and Boulders beaches, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and the District 6 museum, as well as outdoor action adventure activities like extreme hiking and abseiling.
And for those of us who already live in this beautiful city? How lucky are we to have ALL THIS on our doorstep. So get out their Capetonians and explore this world class destination this weekend!
