The ''Eseltjiesrus'' book festival takes place from Friday 27 May till Sunday 29 May in McGregor close to Robertson, in the Breederivervalley.
The Festival takes place from 10:00 until 17:00 at the new municipal centrum in Voortrekker Road. What makes this book festival so special is the fact that it is to benefit the abused and homeless donkeys.
Dr. Johan van Zijl is the organiser of the festival and said they expecting people from far and near to visit. All the money will go towards the donkeys care, and this will make the shopping even better, knowing that it will go for a such a good cause. There will be thousands of books to choose from and every day will add new books to the festival.
The festival is in its 5th year and brand new and second hand books are on offer at extremely low cost. There will also be a coffee shop with some great coffee and something light to eat.
