So we thought and decided on the Dunes to the back of the guesthouse, and a canal cruise and and and..eventually after much deliberation and km''s of walking we decided on the lighthouse. Not only because of its location and how beautiful it is but because of what it symbolizes.

He sent me a list of things Jaan-Marie loved, colours, ideas, the fact that she loved Vintage themes, Proteas, Red Velvet Cup Cakes, Attention to detail..so many little things. I sent my staff out to look for flat rocks which we painted hearts on, sourced metal buckets, raided scrapbook shops and eventually came up with a beautiful setting.

On the 15 August 2013 my Dune Ridge Team raced to the lighthouse at Cape St Francis where we set everything up -gave him the go ahead and headed back to the car. As they approached the scene she was completely taken aback. All we could see from the car was this little woman jumping up and down and him on one knee...the answer was an obvious YES!
