The 11th Annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival is set to take the Mother City by storm this coming weekend, and pre-festival excitement is mounting.

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival has enjoyed phenomenal grown into and is today one of the most successful music events globally, with attendance numbers growing from 14 000 back in 2000 to 32 000 last year.

Things kick off with the free community concert on Thursday 01 April at 17h00 at Green-Market Square. This event features some of the top headliners that will also be performing at the Jazz Festival.

The success of this annual festival can be attributed to the offering of over 40 artists, both local and international, who flood the city, performing on 5 stages across 2 days. The Cape Town Convention Centre is an ideal venue in terms of being centrally located for the whole city, accommodating large numbers of visitors, offering world-class sound and lighting equipment and not being weather dependent.

This year you''ll be able to enjoy music from the likes of Jonathan Butler, Vusi Mahlasela, Lira, and George Benson who will be performing with a full orchestra.
