Perfect for the holidays and the ideal opportunity to escape load-shedding courtesy of the Prince of Darkness, spend an evening enjoying Perfect Nonsense in the company of Jeeves and Wooster.
Set in the 1930s in an English Country House, Jeeves is the quintessential British valet or ‘gentleman’s personal gentleman’ according to author PG Wodehouse, and the perfect foil to the bumbling aristocratic Wooster. Think Stephen Fry and Hugh Lawrie in the BBC TV Jeeves series and the scene is set. Fast-paced, witty and with numerous swift-on-stage character changesplayed by the three of them, there is never dull moment.
High-energy split-timed performances - Graham Hopkins is flawless as every character he plays, especially the inimitable Jeeves, Jonathan Roxmouth never fails to delight and captures the bumbling Bertie brilliantly whilst Robert Fridjohn is spot-on as Seppings the butler/factotum and a few other characters.
Tim Walker of The Sunday Telegraph UK summed up Perfect Nonesense perfectly - “Devour every drop of this Wooster Sauce Relish”. Pieter Toerien’s South African production is exactly that, another winner.
Jeeves & Wooster’s Perfect Nonsene is on at Monte Casino until 15 January, 2015.
Bookings at Computicket.

Montecasino is one of Joburg''s premier entertainment centres, located in Fourways. There''s always loads to see happening there, so it makes sense to stay close by if you enjoy theatre, live music and other fun events.
We love Stillpoint Country Manor - it feels like it''s in the deep countryside but in reality is just 15 minutes from Lanseria airport and 20 minutes from Sandton CBD. So take in the show then escape to this romantic secluded boutique hotel - the best of both worlds!
