Welcome to Hermon
Situated in South Africa’s Western Cape Province, Hermon is a village set in a region known as ‘Swartland’ which means black country, named after the indigenous shrub called Renosterbos. Set between the towns of Gouda and Wellington, this little village is idyllically positioned in the incredibly scenic Riebeek Valley. The surrounding landscape is covered in a tapestry of vineyards, olive groves and wheat fields. Visitors can look forward to a wide selection of activities in and around this lovely town including: enjoying a game drive at Bartholomeus Klip Reserve, picking up some locally-produced treats at the Du Vlei Farm Stall, exploring the nearby Swartberg Nature Reserve and following the Swartland wine route, which stretches from the Oliphants Mountain at Porterville to Darling on the west coast.
