Hemel-en-Aarde Valley

Hemel en Aarde, meaning “heaven and earth” in Afrikaans, is a mountain-enclosed wine area just outside Hermanus, just under 2 hours' drive from Cape Town. Famous for its South African Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the valley is home to numerous award-winning wineries set within easy visiting distance of each other, which provide a variety of cellar tours, tastings, and other experiences.
