Genadedal

Located in South Africa’s Western Cape Province, the historical village of Genadendaal, meaning ‘Valley of Grace’ rests at the foot of the Riviersonderend Mountains in the stunning Overberg region. It is the oldest Moravian mission village in Africa, today it boasts a rich history, heritage buildings and quaint historic streets. History enthusiasts can look forward to visiting the local museum, a cultural treasure boasting a museum complex consisting of over 25 museums. Visitors can look forward to visiting the old Water Mill and sampling traditionally stone-ground flor bread, viewing the oldest mission printing press and exploring the incredibly scenic surrounds.
