Boggomsbaai

The seaside village of Boggomsbaai is situated at the centre of Vleesbaai, along the Western Cape’s alluring Garden Route. The vast, white beach is the primary attraction here, with warm, swimming-perfect waters lapping its shore and whales and dolphins popping by in a spectacular display. The town is a favourite destination among hikers, who stop here along the breathtaking five-day Oystercatcher Trail, which winds along the coast. Some wonderfully pristine golf clubs provide further sporting opportunities. Nature and animal lovers will delight in the chance to spot tortoises, rabbits, small antelope, guinea fowl, Francolin birds and minor reptiles in the self-contained nature reserve. Travellers may also enjoy the opportunity to make a day trip to the nearby towns of Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn.
