Welcome to Mthethomusha Game Reserve
The spectacular Mthethomusha Game Reserve rests in the spectacular Malelane Mountains, fringing the renowned Kruger National Park, about a 4.5 hour’s drive from Johannesburg on the eastern side of Mpumalanga. The park is best known for its incredible animals, which include the famous Big Five (elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard, and rhinoceros) as well as some rare creatures such as the Meller’s mongoose, and a fantastic variety of birdlife. Giraffe, zebra, kudu, nyala, wild dog and sable also roam the plains, among many other smaller species. The park boasts an incredible heritage - some of the first people on the continent lived here. Make sure to see the breathtaking collections of rock art at the local gallery. Other activities include day and night game drives, safaris, guided nature hikes, and visits to the local traditional villages.
