Welcome to Port Shepstone
Port Shepstone lies at the mouth of the enormous Mzimkulu River, halfway between Hibberdene and Margate on the Kwa-Zulu-Natal Coast. The town boasts gorgeous Blue Flag beaches where visitors can swim in warm, turquoise waters, enjoy a range of watersports, and fish for a huge variety of fish including yellowfin tuna, salmon, and king mackerel. It is also a popular scuba-diving and whale- and dolphin- watching destination. Make sure to visit the beautiful Lake Eland Game Reserve to take a ride on the longest zip line tour in Africa, over the magnificent, lush green Oribi Gorge. Visitors can also look forward to horse riding, paintball, mountain biking, and taking in astonishing views on the forest’s suspension bridge. There are also several excellent restaurants and spas in Port Shepstone.
