Welcome to Cullinan
Located 30 kilometres east of Pretoria, Cullinan is a small town in Gauteng, South Africa. Named after the diamond magnate, Sir Thomas Cullinan, this charming town is set along the diamond route which is popular with tourists. It boasts a collection of historic stone and tin-roofed mining cottages and became famous for the discovery of the Cullinan Diamond - the largest gem-quality diamond ever to be found. Visitors can look forward to strolling down the scenic Oak Avenue Boulevard, lined with both Jacarandas and Oak trees, as well as beautifully preserved Edwardian period buildings decorated with picket fences, quaint verandas and English gardens, as well as visiting the little coffee shops and eateries, perusing the numerous local art galleries and learning about local history at the fascinating museums.
