Heilbron

The small farming town of Heilbron lies about an hour and a half’s drive from Johannesburg on the pretty, historical Riemland Wine Route. Besides the numerous opportunities to try fantastic wines along the trail, the tranquil town provides a peaceful retreat from the pressures of the city with its fields of sunflowers and numerous game farms nearby. History enthusiasts can explore the local museum, which provides insight into the battles between the Voortrekkers and Ndebele people which took place here or visit the colourful Motorcycle Museum in neighbouring Deneysville.
