Humansdorp

Resting just southwest of the Eastern Cape’s surfing mecca Jeffrey’s Bay, Humansdorp is a delightful small town offering fantastic natural attractions and a range of thrilling adventure sports. Wildlife enthusiasts can explore unique and indigenous trees, flowers and shrubland; swim in blue Indian Ocean waters at the picturesque Gamtroos River Mouth; and spot 46 bird species, monkeys and small antelope along a range of stunning hiking trails. The fourteen-kilometre-long circular Brakkeduine 4x4 Trail offers a heart-racing experience with a grading of three to five and is near the popular Klipdrift Dam, excellent for fishing and boating. Other highlights include: the pristine Zwartenbosch Country and Golf Club; the traditional Khoisan art exhibition at the Cultural Centre; and the vibrant Oudebosch Farmstall, which offers delicious fresh produce, homemade preserves and coffee.
