River God Adventures

Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe

About River God Adventures

Step aboard and surrender to the rhythm of the river with River God Adventures — an unforgettable floating safari down the remote Lower Zambezi, from Chirundu to the Mupata Gorge. Over 6 magical nights and 200 kilometers, guests travel in custom-built, fully equipped safari boats, designed for comfort, safety, and complete immersion in the wild.

This extraordinary journey reveals one of Africa’s last true frontiers, where every bend of the river brings new wonders: game viewing from your private vessel, thrilling tiger fishing opportunities, guided bush walks amongst elephants and lions, and a symphony of birdlife that will captivate even the most seasoned birder. Or simply unwind, book in hand, and let the Zambezi carry you into serenity.

Born from a dream and a daring 2011 expedition by co-founder Cyril “Squirrel” Meredith, River God Adventures was created to share a rare experience — one that combines the spirit of exploration, exceptional fishing, and deep connection to nature, all set in the heart of one of Africa’s most game-rich river systems.

This isn’t just a safari. It’s a moving adventure, a story in motion — one you’ll carry with you long after the last sunset fades behind the escarpment.
