Saint-Joseph

Saint Joseph is the name given to the commune and village situated southeast of the island of Reunion in the breathtaking landscapes and authentic atmosphere in an area known as ‘The Wild South’. This area is home to the most southern point of the European Union and features spectacular beaches, verdant villages and beautiful mountain scenery. This area has a rich agricultural legacy with ancient history in spice cultivation stretching back to the 18th-century spice trade. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of fascinating spots, such as the village of La Plaine des Gregues featuring the Turmeric House, the magnificent Grand Galet Falls, the numerous crisp mountain pools of the River Langevin, and the famous Grande Anse Beach.
