Welcome to Saint-Philippe
Saint-Philippe is both the name of a commune and a small seaside village situated on the southeastern coast of Reunion Island. The Creole village of Saint Philippe features a rich cultural heritage, and the surrounding area boasts one of the most beautiful rainforests in the south of the island. This spectacular coastal area is characterised by lush green vegetation and dramatic volcanic terrain forming steep cliffs meeting the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean. Most popular attractions include the famous Lava Road, featuring some of the island’s wildest landscape; the Puits des Anglais Well, a popular spot for picnics or swimming in the natural rock pool; the magnificent tropical forest of Mare Longue; as well as the 800-year-old Le Jadin des Parfums et des Epices, boasting over 1500 species of scented plants, spices and medicinal plants.
