About Lelapa Traditional Township Restaurant

Lelapa Restaurant Township Cuisine was established in October 1999 in Langa, Cape Town. The idea behind this restaurant came from a mother and daughter duo after seeing how many tourist buses were travelling through the area and wanting to create a restaurant for them to experience authentic African cuisine and township life. Local cuisine is served while the marimba band offers entertainment that is original to Africa. This restaurant can accommodate up to 100 people at a time, but bookings are essential. There is a curio shop available on-site at which guests can purchase handmade African souvenirs. Functions, wedding lunches and conference meals can also be accommodated for at Lelapa Restaurant Township Cuisine.
