South Africa’s first Kurdish restaurant, Baran’s traditional cuisine sends exotic aromas around its richly decorated interiors, causing mouths to water in anticipation. Guests recline around copper tables, against genuine handmade kilims, surrounded by Kurdish artefacts while folksong plays in the background and mesmerizing belly dancers entertain (on request).
