Welcome to Usakos
Set roughly 140 kilometres north-east of Swakopmund in Namibia’s Erongo Region, and lying on the banks of the River Khan, the small town of Usakos is surrounded by stark and breathtaking scenery. There are parts of the settlement where visitors will be able to see the longest uninterrupted horizon on earth, and nearby, the mighty Spitzkoppe, nicknamed the ‘Matterhorn of Namibia’, provide unusual and striking landscapes and rock formations. History enthusiasts will be delighted to find ancient rock paintings at Philip’s Cave 9at Farm Ameib), an old steam locomotive, and several historic buildings.
