Welcome to Nacala
Resting on the northern coast of Mozambique in Fernao Veloso Bay, the port city of Nacala, also known as Cidade de Nacala or Nacala-Porto, is known as a diving gem. The deepest natural port on the east coast of Africa, the town offers gorgeous beaches lapped by turquoise waters, and ample opportunities for snorkelling, fishing, dhow sailing, and boat tours. Incredible biodiversity and coral life under the surface provides much to explore. Scenic nature hikes and walks are also popular. Don’t miss the chance to spot whales off the shore, and a great diversity of animal life on land, such as zebras, water buffalo and elephants, on the route between Malawi and Nacala.
