Welcome to Albion
The remote, quiet little beach town of Albion lies on the western coast of Mauritius, is famous for its gorgeous soft shores and historic lighthouse. The powdery sands here beckon to be walked on and are lapped by pristine turquoise waters perfect for swimming and watersports. Visitors can look forward to excellent snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing, guided marine tours, or even go swimming with dolphins. The lighthouse, known as Pointe aux Caves, watches over the sea from the dramatic heights of a cliff and is an important navigation tool for boaters coming into Port Louis. It makes for a superb photographic opportunity. The craggy coastline is also fantastic for walking and caving; lucky hikers will be able to spot impressive birdlife and bats.
